Site History
This brick building was built in 1891, it’s original use was as the Milford Town Hall. The original configuration of the building was to look like three floors. The front main door (what is in current use today) opened on a wide hall. On the left was the Council Chamber. Behind council chambers was the iron lockup, which had an outside door at the side of the building (current side door). The ticket office was at the foot of the wide and multi-landing stairway leading to the hall on the second floor. The second floor consisted of the library on the left toward the front of the building and a meeting room on the right. There was also an auditorium, that extended to within fifteen feet of High Street. This building was designed to appear taller with the turret and cupola and high front facade to accommodate the auditorium gallery.
In 1923 the building was considered unsafe and the tip was removed and other changes were made. After WWII the building was remolded once more and the Fire Department was moved into the old Council Chambers. In 1947 the Police Department was moved to the second floor.

Investigators Present
Team One: Joy & Myria
Team Two: Marie & Matt
Rotating teams in half-hour shifts.
Investigation Conditions
Average Temperature Inside: 73° F
Average Humidity Inside: 40%
Weather Outside: At 3:08am, dry with a temperature of 31° F, humidity is at 26%, winds are calm, sky is clear.
*Solar X-Ray: Normal
*Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
*Solar X-Ray and Geomagnetic Field activities seem to affect the amount of paranormal activity. Researchers have found that during periods of heightened solar x-ray activity and geomagnetic activity in space, paranormal activity increases.
*Moon Phase: waxing crescent with 11% of the Moon's visible disk illuminated
*Research has shown that the magnetic fields are the strongest on the days around the full and new moon cycles. Spirit activity is found to be more prominent during these times.
Investigation Duration

Investigation Report
Area is divided as follows:
Section A consisting of two floors with approxiamtly 5439 Sq. Ft. Area B is additional retail on first floor and 2 floor is office/living space. Section A is the area that CAPER investigated and consists on the first floor of a bar, kitchen, storage, mens and womens restrooms. Second floor consists of the "Loft" area, banquet room, offices, storage and restroom.
Baseline readings for the various rooms were as follows:
Room | EMF – in mG | Ambient Temp |
Bar | 2.3 | 68 F |
Kitchen | 20.7 | 66 F |
Men’s Restroom | .2 | 64 F |
Women’s Restroom | .2 | 64 F |
Loft | 1.2 | 72 F |
Banquet Room | 2.8 | 71 F |
Offices | 2.8 | 70 F |
Stairs | 2.0 | 71 F |
No visual phenomenon was observed on any video cameras. All teams of investigators had audio recorders and digital cameras. There were no anomalies in any digital cameras.
Event Review
Team One
4:00am: EMF* spike of 2.7mG coming from the divider of the upper bar area and the lower level bar area at 4:00am
*EMF detectors detect Electromagnetic Fields. EMF’s are measured in millaguass’.. (Comparable to ounces to pounds/inches to feet) A normal room with the appliances on will read around .10 to .20 mG. We try to find a logical explanation for the spike, such as finding an electrical appliance or outlet that will give off an EMF field.
Team one was unable to find the source for the spike.
4:03am: Guinness mirror in bar had movement. Team checked the two vents that are on each side and noted slight draft – was viewed as not enough to move mirror. Investigator noted that when she would get closer to the mirror it would stop moving. The other investigator stood back in the lower bar area to see if the mirror continued to move. Movement stopped at 4:12 am
Team Two
4:30am Starting their investigation in the bar area, they noticed the mirror moving as well. One investigator stood back in the lower level of the bar and kept an eye on the mirror while the other investigator walked up and tried to see if the mirror would stop and it did. The team also checked the air vents to check for airflow. There was none.
4:42am heard a man very clearly making a hmmmm hmmm sound. There was only male present for the investigation and he was apart of team two. Team two investigators were close by each other and he was not talking.
There were no notable temperature changes or EMF spikes.
At approx.. 5:20 am during the breakdown of equipment at base, two investigators heard coming from between them a very faint whisper. Their reaction was simultaneous. No one was talking at the time either.
Evidence review Findings:
EVP’s: Voice was captured on two recording devices.
Photos: Nothing was captured

DVR: Captured the event of voice and the investigators
Conclusion
The camera that was set up facing the mirror was unable to pick up the movement that the investigators were seeing. The movement could have been from the vibrations of the ice machine and from the other appliances along that wall. Suggestion would to securely hang the mirror.
The EMF spike that was recorded from team one was from the track lighting running underneath the bar. Track lights give off high levels of EMF leaks even when it is turned off.
There was not a logical explanation for what team two experienced. The voice was loud enough to be heard not only from a camcorder’s audio but also the upstairs loft recorder.
Status
As of today this case is deemed inconclusive - Open.
